Bajauindonesia.com: Beberapa orang berkeinginan memiliki kemampuan di atas rata-rata manusia yang lain. Hal seperti itu rupanya memang ada, terutama pada orang-orang dari suku-suku yang memiliki kemampuan super. Mereka memiliki kekuatan super genetik yang telah turun-temurun selama berabad-abad lamanya. Ini juga dikarenakan faktor lokasi tempat tinggal dan kebiasaan mereka yang berkontribusi pada kemampuan mereka yang istimewa.
Lima suku di dunia yang konon memiliki kemampuan tidak biasa tersebut adalah sebagai berikut:
1. Suku Aborigin
Suku ini mungkin tidak memiliki penglihatan super seperti pahlawan Hawkeyes yang muncul di komik Amerika terbitan Marvel comics, tetapi mereka tidak kalah mengagumkan. Orang-orang Aborigin Australia dikenal karena penglihatan mereka yang sangat baik. Ini memungkinkan mereka melihat dua hingga empat kali lebih baik daripada rata-rata penglihatan orang pada umumnya.
Para ilmuwan percaya, kemampuan mereka ini telah diturunkan dari suku Aborigin yang di masa lalu menjadi pemburu-pengumpul. Namun, sama seperti pada manusia yang lain, penglihatan mereka berangsur menurun ketika usia lanjut.
2. Suku Kalenjin
Suku Kalenjin di Kenya, adalah kehidupan nyata dari flash. Selain dikenal cepat, mereka jugalah “suku berlari” degan kemampuan menakjubkan untuk berlari jarak jauh.
Sprinter Kenya kebanyakan didomniasi dari suku ini sejak tahun 1980-an. Atlet wanita juga tidak kalah, Pamela Jelimo yang berlaga di Olimpiade 2008 menjadi salah satunya.Kecepatan berlari suku Kalenjin dipercaya bekaitan dengan ukuran tubuh mereka.
Tubuh orang Kalenjin biasanya ramping dengan pergelangan kaki dan betis yang lebih kecil, menjadi faktor utama dalam kecepatan mereka.
3. Suku Tsimane
Orang-orang Tsimane di Bolivia memiliki kemampuan luar biasa soal urusan awet muda.
Sebuah penelitian mengungkapkan, penduduk asli di sana memiliki laju penuaan epigenetik intrinsik yang lebih lambat, membuat mereka jauh lebih muda daripada umur sebenarnya.
Menurut ilmuwan, suku ini juga kebal terhadap penyakit jantung sama seperti Wade Wilson di film Deadpool yang kebal terhadap hampir semua penyakit.Mereka juga memiliki tekanana darah, kolesterol, dan gula darah yang rendah.
4. Penduduk Okinawa
Penduduk asli Okinawa Jepang, terkenal karena dapat hidup lebih dari 100 tahun. Perfektur ini memiliki jumlah centenarian – oran yang hidup 100 tahun – terbesar di dunia.
Para ilmuwan percaya, kemapuan tersebut berkaitan dengan makanan mereka yang biasanya mengonsumsi ubi jalar, kedelai, tahu, sayuran dan biji-bijian.
5. Suku Bajau (dikenal sebagai suku Bajo)
Orang-orang Bajau berasal dari Filipina Selatan tetapi mereka telah bermigrasi ke daerah-daerah di Indonesia dan Malaysia. Suku Bajau dapat melakukan selam bebas atau tanpa bantuan alat sama sekali selama 13 menit, hingga kedalaman 70 meter.
Manusia pada umumnya hanya mampu menahan napas hitungan detik saja. Ini mungkin dipengaruhi oleh kebiasan mereka menyelam untuk menangkap ikan, gurita, hingga lobster.
Llardo menghabiskan beberapa bulan di Jaya Bakti, Indonesia, mengamati suku ini. Dia dibantu oleh seorang penerjemah untuk penelitiannya ini.
Dia juga membandingkan kemampuan tersebut dengan suku lain yakni suku Saluan. Hasilnya, ukuran rata-rata limpa suku Bajo 50 persen lebih besar daripada milik suku Saluan.
Limpa merupakan salah satu organ
terpenting dalam aktivitas menyelam, karena organ tersebut akan melepaskan
lebih banyak oksigen ke dalam darah ketika tubuh sedang tertekan atau menahan
napas dalam air. Tidak hanya itu, DNA orang-orang suku Bajau juga terdapat gen
yang disebut PDE10A. Gen tersebut tidak ditemukan pada suku Saluan.
