Parigi, 9 Juni 2020
Hari ini, aku akan menceritakan salah satu desa yang terpadat di Sulawesi Tengah, tepatnya di Kabupaten Banggai, Kecamatan Pagimana. Ya, disitulah tempatnya, desa itu berseberangan dari ibu kota kecamatan, nama desanya Jayabakti, –nama yang unik tentunya menurutku– begitulah pikiranku menggambarkan. Unik dan menarik untuk kuceritakan kepada siapa saja yang ingin mengetahui desa itu.
Desa itu berpenduduk ± 6.000 jiwa, jumlah seperti itu bisa dibayangkan bersama, pastinya penduduk di desa itu sangat banyak, oleh sebab itu dijuluki desa terpadat. Setiap orang yang pernah singgah di sana atau sekedar jalan-jalan akan berkata demikian, banyak kagum juga yang akan terlontar dari mulut mereka.
Sini kuceritakan singkatnya lagi, di sana ketika netramu memandang setiap sudut desa, akan terluhat dengan jelas halaman rumah yang hampir tidak ada lagi tempat untuk bermain anak-anak, seperti itu juga pandanganku selama tinggal disana.
Oh, ya, Aku hampir lupa mencerikan identitas diriku yang lahir di sana sekolah pun di sana, hingga akhirnya aku memutuskan untuk melanjutkan pendidikan di salah satu kabupaten tentunya, masih seputaran Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah.
Kembali ke topik tulisan, tadi tentang desaku, padat penduduknya, riuh suara keramaian hampir setiap detik banyak orang lalulalang di jalan yang sempit, suara anak kecil riang terdengar ditelinga. Suara itu menyatu dengan suara bising kendaraan roda dua monda- mandir mengelilingi desa.
Ya, begitulah keadaan kendaraan yang hanya bisa memutari sudut desa. Aktivitas masyarakatnya sebagian besar adalah nelayan, menangkap ikan itu keahlian masyarakat bajo tentunya. Lupa kukenalkan, jika Desa Jayabakti adalah Desa dengan mayoritas Suku Bajo. Nah, ini yang menarik lagi untuk kuceritakan disini, Suku Bajo.
Suku Bajo, orang menyebutnya suku laut, ya, begitulah pandangan tiap orang, mata pencaharian di laut, keahlian menangkap ikan, lihai di atas perahu dan banyak keterikatan manusianya dengan laut.
Jayabakti juga merupakan salah satu tempat penyumbang ikan segar di Sulawesi Tengah. Bukan hanya itu, ada juga ikan garam yang menjadi buah bibir setiap orang jika mengingat desaku.
Aku pernah membaca beberapa buku yang menjelaskan asal muasal lahirnya suku ini. Jadi, masih menjadi tanda tanya dalam benakku sampai saat ini? Melalui tulisan ini aku sedikit bertanya dengan sumber yang jelas asal suku ini lahir. Aku tidak bisa menyimpulkannya sendiri walaupun ada yang menyebutnya dari negara tetangga kita yaitu “Malaysia”, ada juga yang menyebutnya dari “Filipina”. Cerita asal muasal Suku Bajo ini semakin menarik pikiranku untuk menambah pengetahuan tentang keberadaannya.
Kuulangi sedikit, begitu indahnya hidup di tepian pantai, membangun rumah di atas laut, walaupun sekarang dibeberapa daerah sudah banyak yang membangun rumah mereka di daratan, namun ciri khas kekentalan Suku Bajo masih terus menjadi panorama tersendiri.
